Multimodal ketamine therapy, as well as other treatments such as those offered in the private practices of Dr Scheib, are now also available from our cooperation partner in Frankfurt.
In the practice of Sana Praevention in Frankfurt, we have found a new cooperation partner in the form of the medical director, Bettina Rashidi-Sangsari, a specialist in internal medicine with a focus on psychological health promotion. This location in Hesse specialises in holistic health check-ups. Through our cooperation, both ketamine infusions and psychotherapy are now offered according to our model.
We also offer our multimodal treatments there, for example for depression, PTSD, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, using repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and remote neurofeedback.

Ketamine infusions: hope for the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders and other illnesses
Ketamine is an anaesthetic that has been used in medicine for decades. In recent years, however, ketamine has also proven to be a promising drug for the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders and other psychosomatic illnesses.
What conditions can be treated with ketamine infusions?
- Depressionen: Ketamine infusions can provide rapid and significant relief of symptoms in patients with treatment-resistant depression.
- Anxiety: Ketamine can also help with anxiety disorders such as generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder (SAD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder: Ketamine infusions can reduce symptoms such as obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviour in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
- Pain: Ketamine can relieve pain in chronic pain that does not respond to other therapies.
- Addiction: Ketamine infusions can be helpful in the treatment of alcohol and drug addiction.
How do ketamine infusions work?
Ketamine works in the brain in several ways. It inhibits the activity of the NMDA receptor, which leads to an increase in glutamate release. Glutamate is an important neurotransmitter involved in the regulation of mood, cognition and pain.
Multimodal therapy with ketamine, rTMS, psychotherapy and neurofeedback
Combining ketamine infusions with other therapies such as rTMS, psychotherapy and neurofeedback can improve treatment outcomes.
- rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation):
rTMS stimulates the brain’s neuroplasticity, i.e. the brain’s ability to change and rewire. This can contribute to long-term improvement of symptoms. - Psychotherapy:
Psychotherapy can help patients understand the causes of their illness and develop new coping strategies. - Neurofeedback:
Neurofeedback enables patients to see their brain activity in real time and learn to regulate it themselves. For example, patients can learn to increase the activity of the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for concentration and decision-making.
Conclusion:
Ketamine infusions are a promising new treatment option for patients with depression, anxiety disorders and other mental illnesses. Combining ketamine infusions with other therapies such as rTMS, psychotherapy and neurofeedback can further improve treatment outcomes.
Multimodal therapy by Dr Scheib
The Instituto Dr. Scheib on Mallorca has been offering a unique multimodal therapy for mental illnesses for many years, based on the individual needs of the patient. Many of our patients are still free of symptoms months or even years after treatment.
